Future Master Private Limited | CareerTest Education | Version 1.0 | Last updated: 9 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Future Master Private Limited, operating the brand CareerTest Education, collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data through careertesteducation.com, including the free psychometric career test at careertesteducation.com/career-test/, our event and career-fair registration forms, and related services (together, the “Platform”).

It is written with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the telecom commercial-communication rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), to the extent and from the dates on which their provisions apply.

Future Master Private Limited decides why and how your personal data is processed on this Platform and is the “Data Fiduciary” for that processing. You, the person the data is about, are the “Data Principal”.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect only what we need for the purpose shown on each form:

  • Student details: name, email address, mobile number, class, city and state.
  • Age and parent/guardian details: whether the student is 18 or older and, for students under 18, the parent or guardian’s name and mobile number.
  • Test answers and results: your answers to the psychometric test and the report generated from them (best-fit stream, career clusters, values and work-style traits).
  • Event/career-fair registrations: name, email, mobile, school, city and state.
  • Consent records: the choices you made, the wording shown, the date and time, the page, and technical identifiers such as IP address and browser type.
  • Technical and usage data: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, timestamps, and the advertisement or link that brought you to us (for example UTM tags).

We do not ask for health, biometric, religion, caste, financial or similar information. Please do not submit it.

3. Why we use it

  • To run your career test, save your progress so you can continue on any device, prepare your report and email it to you.
  • To confirm your email address with a one-time code before the report opens, so that the report reaches the right person.
  • To respond to your questions and requests, and to register you for events or career fairs you sign up for.
  • Only if you choose to allow it: to share your details and test results with educational institutions and authorised admission partners whose courses match your interests.
  • Only if you choose to allow it: for CareerTest counsellors and those institutions/partners to contact you (and your parent) about counselling and admissions.
  • To keep the Platform secure, prevent misuse, fix problems, keep business records and meet legal obligations.

We do not use your data for a new or materially different purpose without telling you and, where needed, asking again.

4. Your consent choices

Our test registration form asks for consent through separate tick-boxes. None of them is ticked in advance:

  • Required: using your details to run the test, prepare your report and send it to you. Without this we cannot provide the test.
  • Optional — sharing: sharing your details and results with matching educational institutions and admission partners.
  • Optional — contact: calls, SMS, WhatsApp or email from CareerTest counsellors and those institutions/partners, including where you have expressly allowed it despite a DND preference, to the extent telecom rules permit.
  • Parent/guardian confirmation (students under 18): confirmation that a parent or guardian has read this notice and agrees to the choices made.

You can take the test and receive your report without agreeing to the optional choices. You can withdraw any optional consent at any time by writing to the Grievance Officer. Withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out before it.

5. Children and students under 18

Under the DPDP Act a child is anyone under 18. Most students who take our test are in Classes 9–12, so:

  • For students under 18 we collect a parent or guardian’s name and mobile number and ask for their confirmation on the form.
  • We do not share an under-18 student’s details with any educational institution or admission partner until we have confirmed the consent with the parent or guardian directly (for example by calling the parent’s number).
  • We do not use children’s data for behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising. Advertising conversion measurement (see Section 8) is not sent for students who say they are under 18.

A parent or guardian who believes a child’s data has been processed against this Policy can contact the Grievance Officer.

6. Sharing with institutions and admission partners

Only where you (and, for under-18 students, your parent or guardian) have allowed it, we may share your details and test results with educational institutions, universities, colleges and authorised admission partners whose courses match your interests. We share only what is relevant to that purpose. An institution that receives your data may use it for its own admission communication and is responsible for its own compliance, including telecom rules when it contacts you. If you withdraw consent, we will stop further sharing and take reasonable steps to tell the recipients.

7. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Platform, who process data on our behalf and only for these services:

  • Hostinger — website hosting, data storage and email delivery.
  • Google — Google Sheets, used by our team to manage registrations.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — measuring visits and sign-ups that come from our advertisements (see Section 8).

8. Cookies, device storage and advertising measurement

The test saves your progress in your browser’s storage so that you can continue if your connection drops. We also use the Meta Pixel to count visits to the test pages from our advertisements. For students who confirm they are 18 or older, we also tell Meta that a registration or verified test completion happened. We do not send your name, email, mobile number or test answers to Meta. You can block cookies and similar technologies in your browser settings; the test will still work.

9. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, to provide services you have asked for, to keep required records, or to establish or defend legal claims. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Consent and withdrawal records may be kept longer as proof of compliance.

10. How we protect data

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, storage of registration records outside the public web folder, password-protected admin access, limited team access, and one-time codes for email verification. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if something goes wrong.

11. Data breaches

If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will contain and investigate it and, where the law requires, inform affected people and the Data Protection Board of India in the prescribed manner.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase your data, where the law allows;
  • withdraw your optional consents;
  • handle a complaint (see Section 13); and
  • let another person act for you in case of death or incapacity, where the law provides for it.

Write to the Grievance Officer from the email or mobile number you registered with. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

14. About the test and admissions information

The psychometric test is an educational self-assessment tool, not a substitute for professional counselling. Information about colleges, courses, exams, fees or deadlines may change; please verify it with the institution before deciding. We do not guarantee admission, scholarships or placements.
