This policy explains when and how you can cancel a purchase and get a refund for paid services on careertesteducation.com. The career test itself, and the Career Snapshot that comes with it, are free.
1. What you can buy
- Full Career Report: ₹199. A one-time payment that unlocks every page of your personalised 25-section report and the PDF download, for the test result it was bought for. It unlocks instantly.
- Counsellor session: ₹799. A one-to-one call of about 30–40 minutes with a CareerTest Education counsellor to go through your result. It includes the Full Career Report, which unlocks instantly.
Prices are in Indian rupees and include applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments. For students under 18, a parent or guardian makes the payment.
2. Full Career Report (₹199)
The report is digital content that is unlocked the moment the payment is confirmed, so it cannot be returned. We do not give refunds for a change of mind once the report has unlocked. We will refund the full amount if:
- you were charged but the report did not unlock, and we cannot fix it within 48 hours of you telling us;
- you were charged more than once for the same report (we refund the extra payments);
- you paid for a report that was already unlocked for that student; or
- a technical fault on our side stops you from opening the report, and we cannot fix it within 7 days of you telling us.
Please ask within 7 days of the payment.
3. Counsellor session (₹799)
- Rescheduling: you can move your session free of charge up to 12 hours before the agreed time.
- Cancelling 24 hours or more before the session: we refund ₹600. The remaining ₹199 covers the Full Career Report, which was unlocked when you paid and stays unlocked.
- Cancelling less than 24 hours before the session: no refund, but we will offer you one new time.
- If we cannot schedule your session within 14 days of payment, or our counsellor misses it and we cannot agree a new time: we refund the full ₹799, and your Full Career Report stays unlocked.
- If the student is not reachable: our counsellor tries twice at the agreed time. You get one free new time; after that, the session counts as used.
4. How to ask for a cancellation or refund
Email apoorv@careertesteducation.com or call +91 92059 07754 from the email or mobile number you registered with. Please include the student’s name and, if you have it, the order ID from your receipt (it starts with “CT”). We reply within 2 working days.
5. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method (the same UPI ID, card or bank account) through Cashfree. We start the refund within 5 working days of approving it; your bank usually credits it within a further 5–7 working days. We do not refund in cash or to a different account.
6. Failed or pending payments
If money left your account but the payment shows as failed or pending, it is usually reversed automatically by your bank or by Cashfree within 5–7 working days. If it hasn’t come back by then, or your purchase didn’t unlock, contact us with the payment date and amount and we will sort it out.
