Future Master Private Limited | CareerTest Education | Version 1.4 | Last updated: 18 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Future Master Private Limited, operating the brand CareerTest Education, collects, uses, stores, shares and protects personal data through careertesteducation.com, including the psychometric career test (and its paid Full Career Report and counsellor sessions) at careertesteducation.com/career-test/, our event and career-fair registration forms, and related services (together, the “Platform”).

It is written with reference to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025, the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the telecom commercial-communication rules of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), to the extent and from the dates on which their provisions apply.

Future Master Private Limited decides why and how your personal data is processed on this Platform and is the “Data Fiduciary” for that processing. You, the person the data is about, are the “Data Principal”.

2. What personal data we collect

We collect only what we need for the purpose shown on each form:

  • Student details: name, email address, mobile number, class, city and state.
  • Age and parent/guardian details: whether the student is 18 or older and, for students under 18, the parent or guardian’s name, mobile number and email address.
  • Test answers and results: your answers to the psychometric test and the report generated from them (best-fit stream, career clusters, values and work-style traits).
  • Event/career-fair registrations: name, email, mobile, school, city and state.
  • Consent records: the choices you made, the wording shown, the date and time, the page, and technical identifiers such as IP address and browser type.
  • Technical and usage data: device and browser type, IP address, pages visited, timestamps, and the advertisement or link that brought you to us (for example UTM tags).
  • Payment records: if you buy the Full Career Report or a counsellor session, the order ID, product, amount, date and time, payment status, and who paid (the student, or a parent or guardian for students under 18, including the parent’s mobile number where a payment link is sent by SMS). For counsellor sessions, the day, time slot, call mode, language and any note you add.

Your card, UPI or bank account details are entered on the secure payment page of our payment partner, Cashfree Payments, and never reach or get stored by us. We do not ask for health, biometric, religion, caste or similar information. Please do not submit it.

3. Why we use it

  • To run your career test, save your progress so you can continue on any device, prepare your report and email it to you.
  • To confirm your email address with a one-time code before the report opens, so that the report reaches the right person.
  • To take payment for the Full Career Report or a counsellor session, unlock what you paid for, email receipts, schedule your counselling call, and handle refunds or payment problems.
  • To respond to your questions and requests, and to register you for events or career fairs you sign up for.
  • With your consent: to share your details and test results with educational institutions and authorised admission partners whose courses match your interests.
  • With your consent: for CareerTest counsellors and those institutions/partners to contact you (and your parent) about counselling and admissions.
  • To keep the Platform secure, prevent misuse, fix problems, keep business records and meet legal obligations.

We do not use your data for a new or materially different purpose without telling you and, where needed, asking again.

4. Your consent

Our career test and career-fair registration forms ask for your consent through one tick-box, which is not ticked in advance. By ticking it, you (and, for students under 18, your parent or guardian) agree to:

  • us using your details to run the test or register you for the fair, prepare your report and send it to you;
  • us sharing your details and test results with educational institutions and authorised admission partners whose courses match your interests, so they can send you course and scholarship options;
  • CareerTest counsellors and those institutions/partners contacting you (and your parent) by call, SMS, WhatsApp or email about counselling and admissions, including where your number is registered on DND, to the extent telecom rules permit.

We keep a record of the exact wording you agreed to, and when. You can change your mind at any time: switch off sharing or calls on your student dashboard, or write to the Grievance Officer (Section 13). Withdrawing consent stops further sharing and contact from then on; it does not affect what was done before, and you can still use your report.

5. Children and students under 18

Under the DPDP Act a child is anyone under 18. Most students who take our test are in Classes 9–12, so:

  • For students under 18 we collect a parent or guardian’s name, mobile number and email address. The consent box on our forms records that the parent or guardian has read this notice and agrees, including to sharing with matching institutions and admission partners and to being contacted.
  • We email the parent or guardian to confirm this agreement, with a one-click choice to agree or to refuse sharing and contact; we record their choice. When the test is complete we also email them the result, with the option to buy the full report or a counsellor session on the child’s behalf.
  • We may call the parent or guardian to confirm their agreement. A parent or guardian can withdraw it at any time (see Section 4), and we will then stop further sharing and contact.
  • We do not use children’s data for behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising. Advertising conversion measurement (see Section 8) is not sent for students who say they are under 18.

A parent or guardian who believes a child’s data has been processed against this Policy can contact the Grievance Officer.

6. Sharing with institutions and admission partners

Only where you (and, for under-18 students, your parent or guardian) have allowed it, we may share your details and test results with educational institutions, universities, colleges and authorised admission partners whose courses match your interests. We share only what is relevant to that purpose. An institution that receives your data may use it for its own admission communication and is responsible for its own compliance, including telecom rules when it contacts you. If you withdraw consent, we will stop further sharing and take reasonable steps to tell the recipients.

7. Service providers

We use trusted providers to run the Platform, who process data on our behalf and only for these services:

  • Hostinger — website hosting, data storage and email delivery.
  • Google — Google Sheets, used by our team to manage registrations.
  • Cashfree Payments India Private Limited — processing payments (UPI, cards, net banking) and sending payment links by SMS to a parent or guardian. Cashfree is a regulated payment aggregator and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy and the Reserve Bank of India’s rules.
  • Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — measuring visits and sign-ups that come from our advertisements (see Section 8).

8. Cookies, device storage and advertising measurement

The test saves your progress in your browser’s storage so that you can continue if your connection drops. We also use the Meta Pixel to count visits to the test pages from our advertisements. For students who confirm they are 18 or older, we also tell Meta that a registration, a verified test completion or a purchase (with its amount) happened. We do not send your name, email, mobile number or test answers to Meta. You can block cookies and similar technologies in your browser settings; the test will still work.

9. How long we keep data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, to provide services you have asked for, to keep required records, or to establish or defend legal claims. Payment and receipt records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally 8 years). When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Consent and withdrawal records may be kept longer as proof of compliance.

10. How we protect data

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, storage of registration records outside the public web folder, password-protected admin access, limited team access, and one-time codes for email verification. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if something goes wrong.

11. Data breaches

If we become aware of a personal data breach, we will contain and investigate it and, where the law requires, inform affected people and the Data Protection Board of India in the prescribed manner.

12. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it is used;
  • correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • erase your data, where the law allows;
  • withdraw your optional consents;
  • handle a complaint (see Section 13); and
  • let another person act for you in case of death or incapacity, where the law provides for it.

Write to the Grievance Officer from the email or mobile number you registered with. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

14. About the test and admissions information

The psychometric test is an educational self-assessment tool, not a substitute for professional counselling. Information about colleges, courses, exams, fees or deadlines may change; please verify it with the institution before deciding. We do not guarantee admission, scholarships or placements.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as our services or the law change. We will update the date above and, where required, ask for fresh consent.
